Intro
Greetings! I am Caitlin Rose Frayer, or you can call me "Cat". I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the great state of Pennsylvania. I am a jack of all trades with over 15 years of experience in the mental health field. I've provided services for inpatient crisis facilities, residential treatment centers, community-based programs, inner-city public schools, and outpatient family centers. I've worked in city neighborhoods, suburban communities, and rural towns throughout Western PA, and am an ally to the LGBTQ community. I've helped children of all ages and from many different places through their life transitions. Being a counselor is a life-calling and I am in this role wherever I find myself. I am so glad we found each other, and I hope we can partner together on your journey towards wellness.
I chose the path of working with autistic/neurodivergent clients completely by accident. I struggled to find an area of MH that I wanted to specialize in, and so I just went where my interest led me, but wherever I went, neurodivergent people would find me. Or maybe I would find them? Maybe it's that we found each other, as I am a neurodivergent provider. I have heard feedback from folks that I am a safe person to talk to and that folks feel energized and uplifted after our sessions. I hope that we can check out some of what you're already doing well and build-up on it, develop some skills to enhance your communication, relationships, or independence, and get curious and creative along the way!
I am a holistic practitioner with a humanistic and strengths-based approach. I use an eclectic blend of therapy and focus my therapeutic craft in evidence-based practices such as ACT, CBT, DBT, and Gestalt therapy. I offer art & music therapy & stress reduction techniques. I use neurodivergent safe practices and a sensory space with animals!
