Intro
Hi there! My name is Iiesha Black and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Richmond Hill, Georgia. I have experience working with adolescents and adults from all different backgrounds and specialize in mental health concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, grief, trauma and many others. As a clinician, I believe it is important to provide a safe space that will promote a successful therapeutic relationship. I strive to work collaboratively with each of my clients to develop goals that promote healing and growth.
I am motivated in helping autistic adults as I have a profound respect and admiration for this population. I believe the neurodivergent population deserves to have more neurodivergent affirming clinicians dedicated to assisting them with their unique and individual mental health needs. I believe in providing support that will enhance their ability to thrive in their relationship with themselves and others as well as their overall daily lives.
Prioritizing an affirming and strength-based approach is very important to me a clinician working with the neurodivergent population. I understand the importance of providing a space of comfort for each client to fully express themselves so that they are able to feel valued, seen and empowered throughout the therapeutic process. I provide a calm, personable and accommodating space where my clients feel validated and comfortable to authentically express themselves.
