Intro
Welcome! I'm Dr. Nichols and I am a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of New York. I received my doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Hartford and have been in practice for over 15 years. I’ve provided services in a variety of settings (outpatient clinics, residential centers, schools, and day programs), seeing individuals across the lifespan.
I have always been drawn to people who experience the world differently. I connect most naturally with those who think in original, deep, and unconventional ways, and this has shaped my career in working with neurodivergent individuals. My goal is to help people find clarity about their experiences and a path forward that makes sense for them.
I believe an autism evaluation isn’t about labeling—it’s about understanding yourself. I offer a structured yet individualized evaluation process that is collaborative and designed to provide meaningful insights. Rather than focusing only on difficulties, I also explore strengths and resilience to create practical, useful recommendations. My commitment is to provide neurodiversity-affirming care for everyone with whom I work. You might be wondering if autism plays a role in how you think and experience life. I’m here to help you find answers in a space where you feel safe, understood, valued, and empowered.
