Intro

Hello! I'm Ayla (she/her/hers) and I'm an African American licensed clinical social worker. I completed my under granduate at the University of Nebraska at Omaha and my Masters at Simmons University. I enjoy working with others to better manage their anxiety, depression and life transitions.

What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

I have worked with neurodivergent individuals in various settings (hospitals, support groups, and shelters). In working with neurodivergent clients, I have experienced providing a safe space to process challenges with supports and tools. I look forward to providing this with Prosper Health!

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

I approach treatment as a collaborative effort. Using an affirming approach, we will discuss how your strengths and existing coping skills can be used as tools. I believe in doing this we can work towards building a positive quality of life and learning more about strengths that may have been overlooked.
