Cathy Longa

Hey there! I'm Cathy (she/her), a neuropsychologist who loves to unmask the unique awesomeness in every brain I meet. I have a lot of experience evaluating and diagnosing neurodevelopment differences in people of all ages. I’m licensed to practice psychology in Florida, and thanks to PSYPACT, I can work with people from most states across the country. When I’m not exploring the wonderful world of neurodiversity, you’ll probably find me at the movies, lost in a good mystery novel, or solving crossword puzzles like a detective on a mission.

My training in neuropsychology and the brain-behavior connection really sparked my passion for neurodevelopmental evaluations. Every person I work with shows me just how amazing and diverse the human mind can be. My goal is to help you discover and celebrate your authentic self, especially if you’ve ever felt misunderstood. Doing evaluations is like being a detective, but instead of solving crimes, I’m here to help you uncover the cool, unique way your brain works and how you fit into the world.

For me, being affirming means celebrating what makes each person uniquely awesome. I see autism as another way of thinking and experiencing the world – it’s not something that needs to be “fixed”. During evaluations, I keep things clear and straightforward, making sure you know exactly what’s going on. My focus is on your skills, interests, strengths, and experiences – not just your challenges. My reports highlight your positive traits and include practical suggestions to help you navigate areas of difficulty while recognizing your own value and potential.
