Intro
Hi! My name is Dr. Chantel Okewole. I am a licensed clinical psychologist and neuropsychologist with over 8 years of experience, based in Tennessee. I specialize in assessments/diagnostics of neurodevelopmental disorders, including autism, and have a strong background in working with individuals who have a history of trauma. I take a collaborative, neurodiversity-affirming, and culturally sensitive approach, ensuring each assessment is personalized to honor the unique needs of every individual.I completed undergraduate training at Arizona State University and graduate training at Argosy University and The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I completed my internship at Nystrom and Assocaites in Minnesota then two years fellowship specializing in neuropsychology in Arizona.
I am passionate about working with the autistic/neurodivergent community, partly due to being neurodivergent myself and also because I recognize this community as being underserved and deserving of competent, passionate, clinicians such as myself. I will continue to spend my career conducting research to inform others of the unique needs and strengths of this community. In the meantime, I look forward to providing high quality and client-centered assessments for autistic adults through Prosper.
To bring an affirming and strengths-based approach to my work, I focus on recognizing and celebrating each client’s unique abilities, perspectives, and goals. Rather than concentrating solely on challenges, I work to identify clients’ inherent strengths and use these as foundations for growth. I believe in fostering a collaborative and supportive environment where clients feel valued, respected, and empowered. This means tailoring my approach to fit each individual, validating their experiences, and helping them leverage their strengths to navigate obstacles and reach their goals. My goal is to help clients recognize their own resilience and capabilities while encouraging self-acceptance and confidence.
