Intro
Hi! My name is Dr. Daniel Saavedra and I am licensed Clinical Psychologist and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist from Miami, Florida. I completed my internship in Iron Mountain Michigan at the Oscar G Johnson VA where I worked with Veterans doing therapy and assessments. I completed my residency in Citrus Health Network where I worked in the pediatric inpatient unit helping those experiencing suicidal ideation and crisis. I also have a vast clinical background in working with individuals across the lifespan and have an interest in neuropsychology with both children and adults. I started with Prosper Health so I could help those experiencing Autism and those who are Neurodivergent to help bridge the gap as everyone needs equal access to clinical services.
Throughout my time in the mental health field I have run into various children and adults within the autism and neurodivergent community that have not had access to proper services or have fallen through the cracks due to misdiagnosis, I hope to use my experience working with individuals across the lifespan and my time in both inpatient and outpatient settings to bridge the gap and increase proper access to care.
One of the cornerstones of my clinical work is having seen mental health disorders progress across the lifespan and how they are treated including seeing children and adults within the autism and neurodivergent community struggle with complications and an uncertainty of how to navigate life. I have also had family members who have been diagnosed with autism and have seen the challenges they face growing up. I hope to use my clinical experiences I have gained through both my masters and doctoral trainings to provide assessments to those who are a part of the neurodivergent community an provide neurodivergent affirming care.
