Intro
Greetings! My name is Danielle and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), licensed in New York. I am a neurodivergent, eclectic therapist who uses cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and psychodynamic therapy as primary modalities in therapy sessions. I am Certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, C-DBT. I completed my Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Manhattan College and my Bachelor of Music in vocal performance from Duquesne University. I am extremely passionate about working with and supporting autistic and neurodivergent adults as they navigate life's challenges. I strive to support my clients in a non-judgmental, warm, and empathic space to help them embrace their uniqueness and improve their quality of life.
I have been working with the autistic and neurodivergent communities for the past three plus years and absolutely love supporting them in improving their mood, emotion-regulation, and executive functioning challenges. As a neurodivergent person and mother of an autistic child, I know firsthand how difficult it can be to navigate a world that is not designed for autistic and neurodivergent people. Together we can achieve progress towards your goals and help you find fulfillment in your life!
My experience as a neurodivergent person and parent of an autistic child helps inform the work I do. When working with autistic and neurodivergent adults, I help them identify their strengths, embrace their uniqueness, advocate for their needs, and communicate their feelings with confidence as we work together in a non-judgmental, collaborative, open space.
