Intro

Hey there! I'm so glad you're here. My name is Jen and I am a clinical psychologist located in Louisville (pronounced Luhl-vull, if you know you know) and licensed in the state of Kentucky. I also have Authority to Practice Inter-jurisdictional Tele-psychology through PSYPACT in 40+ states! I have over a decade of experience working with folks from all walks of life, and I am passionate about making care accessible to ALL. Though I am trained as a generalist, I have also obtained additional expertise in health psychology as well as ADHD and other neurodivergence in adults. I am thrilled to be able to increase the accessibility of Autism assessments through Prosper Health from an evidence-based, neuro-affirming lens. I firmly believe that neurodivergent brains are not broken - they're just different - and that is powerful.

What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

Neurodiversity is something I have always strived to respect and incorporate into my practice, before I even knew the term! I, too, am neurodivergent, which has helped me connect and work with other neurodivergent clients over the years. I know firsthand how empowering and life-changing the confirmation of a suspected diagnosis can be - and I want to be able to provide that to others.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

My approach is collaborative and strengths-based; I am not just looking at all the things you have problems with, but also what makes you thrive and gives you life. These elements are just as important as the struggles! No matter what diagnoses may or may not be there, I will always strive to provide recommendations that are relevant to the individual in front of me to make sure we are addressing the pain points (and strengths!).
