Intro

Welcome! I’m so glad you’ve found your way here! My name is Erin Henderson, and I'm a licensed psychologist based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I am licensed in both Pennsylvania and New York, and through Psypact authorization I’m able to work with clients across 42 states. My approach is rooted in a deep belief in understanding the unique experiences of each person I work with. Having the privilege to support individuals as they explore and make sense of their neurodiversity is truly inspiring. My goal is to create a compassionate and nonjudgmental space where you can feel comfortable, validated, and understood as we work together to navigate the complexities of adult autism. I believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive and live authentically, and I’m committed to helping you uncover your strengths and embrace your full potential.

What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

My motivation to specialize in working with neurodivergent clients, particularly those on the autism spectrum, comes from witnessing the profound impact that an accurate diagnosis can have on an individual’s life. I’ve seen firsthand how understanding one’s neurodiversity unlocks the potential to access the right tools and strategies, empowering individuals to tackle long-standing challenges and embrace their unique strengths. For many, receiving a diagnosis is the key to making sense of their experiences, and it can be a turning point in their journey toward meaningful change.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

Above all else, clients can expect to be treated with respect and dignity in our work together. I believe that each person is the expert of their own life, and my role is to work alongside you as a collaborative partner, helping you achieve your goals. My approach is rooted in affirmation and compassion, and I focus on recognizing and building upon your unique strengths rather than solely addressing challenges. I see each individual as a whole person, capable of growth and transformation, and I strive to create a space where you feel truly understood and validated. By emphasizing your strengths and how they can be leveraged to navigate life’s complexities, we can work together to unlock your full potential.
