Intro
I’m Dr. Felicia Berry-Mitchell; a licensed psychologist in Georgia and New York. I also have my PSYPACT Mobility License that allows me to provide telehealth, video, telephone, etc., mental health services to people in about 40 U.S. states. I’ve been a psychologist about 17 years. I know I don’t look like it. :) I am grateful for the opportunity to provide psychological services via assessment, using evidence-based therapies, consultation, or speaking engagements. My work is rooted in empathy, curiosity, and a deep respect for the resilience of the human mind, body, and spirit. I utilize a wholistic approach as we are multidimensional beings. Whether someone is seeking clarity regarding a set of symptoms or possible diagnosis, facing a moment of crisis or seeking deeper self-understanding, I’m here to walk alongside them with compassion and thoughtful guidance.
My focus on autism is both professional and deeply personal. I have various neurodivergent family members, which has provided me an intimate perspective to the beauty, complexity, and strength that often go unseen or misunderstood. I have a respect and appreciation for the diverse ways people think, feel, and connect. I chose to focus on assessing autistic individuals because I want to offer others who are navigating this space, the same respect, patience, and hope I want my loved ones to receive. I honor neurodiversity—not as something to be “fixed,” but as something to be understood, supported, and celebrated.
In working with neurodivergent individuals, I take an affirming, strength-based approach that focuses on each person’s unique abilities, interests, and ways of experiencing the world. I approach my work NOT by focusing on deficits or trying to fit someone into a narrow mold, but by aiming to create a safe space where clients can fully be themselves. I empower and support individuals in identifying and building on their strengths, fostering self-awareness, and navigating challenges in ways that honor their identity and autonomy. My goal is to help each person thrive—not by changing who they are, but by embracing it!
