Intro
Hello! My name is Jackie, and I am a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of Florida. I completed my predoctoral internship with a focus in autism at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine (PSOM), and I subsequently completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Adult Autism Assessment at PSOM. My experiences working with autistic individuals throughout the lifespan conducting diagnostic and neuropsychological assessments, consultation, and various forms of treatment/therapy have taught me how important it is for each individual to be heard and to feel validated.
I have worked with the autism population for over 14 years after I was first introduced to children on the spectrum during my undergraduate schooling. Although I have worked across the lifespan, my passion has steadily been with working with the adult population. Many adults on the spectrum or seeking a diagnosis face heartbreaking mental health struggles often due to feeling misunderstood or misdiagnosed, and I understand the importance of ensuring an accurate diagnosis to increase individual wellbeing. Everyone's brain is unique and my goal is to help you learn the amazing ways your brain works!
Many adults on the autism spectrum have felt rejected, misunderstood, or rejected. I highly value using a strengths-based approach to focus on the individual's strengths to help them feel heard without judgment. I believe that helping someone unmask, feel understood, and live authentically can help them thrive in a new light.
