Intro

Siyo! I am a neurodivergent licensed psychologist based in Tulsa, OK and within the Cherokee Nation reservation. I am also a member of PSYPACT and can see clients in many states. I have a variety of clinical experiences including community health organizations, an inpatient eating disorder program, a correctional facility, a university counseling center, private practice, and tribal/indigenous health facilities. I am also a holistic health educator and develop community health curriculums and programs based on indigenous wisdom and modern science. As a provider, my goal is to help you feel seen and understood and develop more insight into your neurotype and needs to empower you to live the healthiest and most authentic life possible! I view neurodivergence as a strength that needs to be affirmed and supported and I hope to help you do that to the best of my ability!

What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

In addition to being neurodivergent myself (Autistic/ADHD with other related diagnoses), I have also been surrounded by other neurodivergent folks both in my personal and professional life. This has taught me how brilliant and resilient our community is and how much we have been misunderstood and underserved. I believe our society as a whole will only be able to truly thrive when we are all respected and appreciated for our differences and supported in being able to increase our access to health to enhance our amazing abilities, while minimizing the degree to which we experience disability. I plan to spend the remainder of my career and life working with this population and building resources and improving services for us so that we can collectively change our society to be both neurodivergent and trauma informed!

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

In all of my work, I use a strengths-based and empowering approach to helping clients develop the most accurate and affirming understanding of themselves. I want everyone I work with to develop greater self-compassion and permission to be their authentic selves by the end of our time together. I believe we all have a unique piece of the puzzle that our society needs to heal and I see my role as helping clients discover what theirs is and how to best support themselves in being able to be as healthy and functional as possible and fulfil whatever they believe their purpose to be. I am very down-to-earth and aim to help everyone I serve feel safe with and valued by me.
