Intro

Hi, my name is Kathleen and I am a Clinical Psychologist, licensed in Maryland, Iowa, West Virginia, and through PsyPact. PsyPact allows me to provide Telehealth services to clients in 42+ US states. I completed my undergraduate training at the University of Virginia and my graduate training at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  I obtained my Postdoctoral training at the Mental Illness Research, Education, and Clinical Center (MIRECC) at the VA Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland.  My passion is raising awareness about Autism and expanding access to evidence-based mental health care for underserved populations.

What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

As a neurodivergent individual myself, I am passionate about the Autism Rights Movement and reducing the stigma surrounding Autism.  I believe that everyone deserves access to high-quality, holistic, person-centered care, which includes mental health care. I joined Prosper Health so I can help others receive clarity regarding understanding themselves, including their level of neurodivergence, as well as identifying their strengths and unique needs.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

I am the mother of two neurodivergent young adults who are currently thriving.  I embrace individual differences and strive to provide a safe space where clients can express themselves authentically.  In my work with clients, I strive to be nonjudgmental, collaborative, and culturally-responsive.
