Intro
Hello there! My name is Sarah and I am a clinical psychologist licensed in Texas and with Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology through PSYPACT. I’m a generalist with specific training in providing trauma-informed care as well as health psychology, and I love using these skills to work with a diverse range of folks who are seeking to improve their lives! I’m equally excited and honored to be able to use this wealth of clinical knowledge to assess adults for autism and provide quality, informed services.
As I myself am neurodivergent, I find working with neurodivergent clients professionally and personally rewarding. Throughout my training across diverse settings (college counseling, residential treatment, community clinic, etc.), I witnessed the healing power of providing neurodiversity-affirming care. Moreover, as with many other communities in mental health, I sadly witnessed how services for neurodiverse folks were limited and/or involved various barriers – I look forward to working with Prosper Health so that I may be an agent for change and accessibility for people to obtain the care they both need and deserve!
My views, values, and skills as a psychologist are drawn from many different theoretical orientations (ACT, DBT, IFS, etc.), with the express focus of using said orientations to meet the needs of each unique person. As a former Kentuckian, you’ll often hear me say “y’all means ALL.” I also hold dearly (and often share!) the expression “Come as you are,” because it communicates the true power of embracing our identities and taking up the space that we each deserve to hold. I believe that by living authentically, we can better hone in on our unique differences and strengths to improve our own lives and those around us.
