Intro

Hello and welcome! It is good to see you! My name is Stephen Lewis. I am currently a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Texas. I am compassionate in collaborating with individuals on the road to change and healing with their mental wellness and various life goals, including career, family, friendship, growth, and development. Each person’s life journey is extraordinary. Accordingly, my goal is to build a warm and trusting professional therapeutic relationship with you that provides you the ability to feel free to utilize your strengths and grow in resilience, self-esteem, and confidence to work through any past, present, or future life struggles.

What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

My compassion and commitment to collaborating in therapy with adults living with autism evolved from my natural love, interest, respect, and appreciation for neurodiversity. Hence, in every room or outdoor space, anyone who walks through and interacts with the environment should find a sense of autonomy and support in their ability to experience a connection with that environment. I find it inviting and motivating to be in spaces with people in the autistic community, supporting them in leaning on strengths, individual expression, and resilience to blossom into their great potential. In our collaboration, we will climb for greatness.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

One of my main priorities and professional therapeutic approaches is centered around each client's strengths, allowing them to see, feel, and experience being valued and empowered. In this direction, each client I collaborate with has unique strengths and abilities that can be channeled to journey through daily life struggles and accomplish goals. In therapeutic sessions, I am always wholly available to the individual client, keeping my ears and eyes wide open and creating a warm and safe space that allows the clients to be themselves freely.
