Intro

Hi!  My name is Zach, I am a licensed in Clinical Social Worker who is licensed in Colorado, Tennessee, and Nevada.  I have experience working with trauma, mental health disorders, and substance use issues through a number of evidence-based approaches. All of which can be adapted to specifically meet the needs of neurodivergent individuals.

What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

Neurodivergence has been present in friends and families throughout the course of my life.  As an individual with ADHD, having had family members experience autism, and friends struggle with adapting to a world that doesn't seem to be "built for them," I am acutely aware of the need for support and inclusive spaces.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

Strengths-based approaches are a central component of my approach to therapy.  The evidence that affirmation and strengths-based approaches are more effective than problem-focused approaches is overwhelming.  It is a central belief of mine that anyone successful at anything utilizes more energy in leveraging strengths than examining faults.
